I lost my childhood best friend to a heart attack yesterday. As kids, she lived across the street from me and we were practically sisters. She was older than me, and I looked up to her constantly. She took me under her wing, protected me, and helped shape the sense of humor that I am so grateful to have.
What a terrible feeling this is.
